Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the 2025 nsfas application missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any website of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply here for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
